Just a little less over three years ago, Ice Prince was barely making ends meet. Today, he is the envy of many rappers as a result of his meteoric rise to fame. Make no mistake though, the J-town born rapper has paid his dues in full and maybe even more. Today, he shares a part of the story. When 'Oleku' featuring Brymo came out, the song spread like wildfire across the country, Africa and Europe. It wasn't all rosy shooting the video though. There was no personal assistant or manager. No connects from the northern State governors he dines with now to help him take care of business. Apart fromthe record label support by Audu Maikori and label mates, Ice literally did everything else by himself.
Including sweeping the set of Oleku video in November, 2010!
So when next you hear an artiste tell you that the road to fame and fortune isn't easy, you had better believe it.
